Today HKU SPACE offers nearly 1,000 courses covering from everything business and finance, the humanities, law, and science and technology. This is a far cry from when we first started. But even in our earliest years, our determination to cover the widest possible range of interests and needs was apparent. In addition to practical career-oriented courses such as law and accountancy, we also offered to personal enrichment courses such as literature and music. Other popular programmes at that time such as, Civilisation of the T’ang Dynasty, Elementary Mathematics from an Advanced Point of View, Portuguese language and Literature, however, might not be the same popularity if offered again today.
