HKU SPACE Director Professor Lee Chack-fan will retire next year

HONG KONG, 15 September 2014-The Board of Directors of HKU SPACE has accepted the decision of Professor C.F.Lee, Director, to retire after the completion of his current contract in mid-2015. The Board has appointed an agency to initiate the recruitment and the selection process for the position.
 
Speaking of his retirement decision, Professor Lee says, “I am very grateful to have the opportunity to serve my alma mater and HKU SPACE over the years. The excellence of HKU SPACE should be attributed to the joint efforts of all my colleagues. The team indeed epitomizes professionalism, diligence and outstanding quality.” “Personally, I will stay true to my faith in ‘Cherishing every moment of life with the best use of time’, and to contribute in culture, education and community service. It will also be delightful if I can take some time to write a book or two, and to travel a bit with my wife.”
