I was a full-time student of the HKU SPACE Community College from 2007 to 2009. I joined the Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies after I finished my HKALE in 2007. The two-year program in HKU SPACE Community College was the first step toward my professional architectural education. It provided me with opportunities to feel, to learn and to experience the workings of an architect. The program provided me with a solid foundation in architectural design; it also gave me a strong impulse to pursue further studies towards my chosen profession in architecture.
During my studies in the Professional Diploma in Architectural Studies program, I had ample opportunities to apply my creativity and knowledge to all works that I had accomplished. The workshops and field trips also provided me with a lot of practical experiences. The program taught me the important nexus between architecture, environment and human beings, which is to design architectures that improve our lives and with respect to environmental harmony.
I strongly believed that studying in this program will equip one with professional architectural knowledge, to develop the mind of an architect and to be an all-rounded person. This would undoubtedly be a good start of a promising future in the architecture profession.
I am now pursuing my Bachelor of Social Science in Architectural Science degree in CUHK. With the strong knowledge base and valuable friendship gained in HKU SPACE, I am much more eager to and I am fully confident in my success in continuing my life-long architectural journey.
