In HKU SPACE, you could learn tax rules and systems around the Globe. We offer a wide range of courses in Hong Kong tax, China tax, UK tax, Australian tax, Canadian tax, US tax and International tax.
The programme aims to develop students’ understanding of the principles and practices of international taxation. It enables them to analyse international tax issues and to advise on tax planning strategies for both corporations and individuals.
The programme aims to equip students with essential knowledge of Global Taxation, which includes International Tax, US and Canadian Taxes; UK and Australian Taxes, China and Hong Kong Taxes. Students will learn how taxation systems in these countries affect the global asset allocations in Family Offices, inbound and outbound investment and tax considerations on Ultimate Beneficial Owners. Double Tax Agreements are discussed to minimise the risks of paying excessive taxes across the borders. Practical cases are presented with real life examples.

*The co-payment ratios by learners (i.e. the percentage of fees to be borne by learners) for the first HK$10,000 subsidy is 20% of the course fee and that for the remaining HK$15,000 subsidy is 40% of the course fee.
Programme Aims
The programme aims to impart the essential knowledge of the Canadian tax system to students and equip them with the skills for solving issues related to Canadian tax in their transactions.
On completion of the programme, students should be able to
Apply principles of Canadian tax in dealing with tax issues such as tax on buying or disposing properties;
Compute Canadian tax for employment and business income purposes; and
Calculate tax for transactions of Canadian residents and non-residents.
This programme aims to introduce the basic principles and regulations of the tax system in mainland China and how they would affect individuals and enterprises. It also equips students with the technical knowledge of various tax types in China and practical skills to compute them in different scenarios.
The programme aims to develop students’ understanding of the current taxation law under the Inland Revenue Ordinance. It also equips them with the abilities to interpret and apply the taxation statutes to practical situations in relation to corporations, partnerships and individuals.
Suitable for those who need to equip themselves with taxation knowledge for his financial and estate planning as well as professionals who need to offer Australian tax planning during the course of business.
