Ms Blanche Wong, Programme Director of HKU SPACE

Ms Blanche Wong is an experienced registered nurse in Hong Kong. She had been working in the Hospital Authority more than 25 years before she became an academic educator in healthcare teaching. She obtained the master degree in primary care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and practiced as primary care professional in both public and private sectors. Her interests are to promote health for all, mental wellness and sustainable health through lifestyle modifications. Blanche deeply understands the stress, health issues Hong Kong people are facing, inadequate rest and poor sleep hygiene that could be the multitude causative factors to illnesses. In the past years, she has been very active in health promotion and disease prevention activities. Through which she hopes audiences can adjust lifestyle and eating habits as well as influence others by setting an example of decent lifestyle.

不少人認為要有八小時的睡眠,才不會影響身體健康。其實,「真正」睡眠時間的長短,因人而異。透過認識對睡眠質素的誤解,正確了解產生睡眠的機制,掌握入睡的時機,從而達至優質睡眠,身壯力健。講座會從微妙的睡眠旅程開始,解開睡眠迷思,同時亦會分享外國的睡眠健康研究。
