Imagine you can read people’s mind; you can decipher the codes to success in the workplace, including what your bosses want, how to get your colleagues on board, motivate your subordinates, and turn your customers’ answer from “no” to “yes”. Now, imagine you know everything about yourself, and how you could play to your strengths in your professional capacity and derive more enjoyment and satisfaction from work.
Does it sound miraculous and too good to be true? Indeed, psychologists are not exactly psychics or mind-readers, but the science of psychology does offer systematic and invaluable insights into our personalities and individual differences. In other words, we can get a better idea of the personality traits, attitudes, thinking styles, motivations, intentions, wishes and desires, strengths and weaknesses of ourselves and people in the workplace.
The workshop features an introduction to applied business psychology, with a focus on the understanding and applying psychometric tests in the workplace. Participants will be invited to complete psychometric tests and develop an occupational profile of their personalities. The workshop covers a concise discussion of different personality profiles and the relevance to standing us in good stead in the workplace.
The School may make available related programme information material at the seminar.
