Mr. Ken Wong, Creative Industries in Hong Kong: Heritage and Development

Ken Wong is a seasoned executive. Having worked in higher education, statutory body and now the private sector for 20 years, Ken is Executive Director, Nan Fung Development / Hong Kong Life Sciences Society (a subsidiary of Nan Fung Group) since 2018. His key management roles include creating a global platform for biotech researchers, academics, investors and entrepreneurs. Ken possesses vast experiences in leading strategic projects that cover education, marketing, youth engagement and public opinion surveys.

Creative Industries in Hong Kong Heritage and Development

The speaker will focus on three notable creative industry sites open to the public over the recent years in Hong Kong, including the Mills in Tsuen Wan by Nan Fung Group, Tai Kwun in Central, and the West Kowloon Cultural District.  In addition to being conservation and construction projects, these new landmarks are created with the vision to promote local cultural heritages and nurture the city’s creative industries. Whether it is led by businesses, non-profit-making organizations, or the government, the aim to open up more possibilities for innovative projects to boost the future development of Hong Kong.
