Workplace risk management appears to be a simple topic that can be easily understood and executed. Yet it embraces a vast scope of occupational safety and health concepts and practices which have not been totally embraced and practiced in most workplaces. Since risks are present in almost all types of workplaces, including factories, construction sites, hospitals, universities and even offices, a correct perspective of risk management is crucial.
The speaker will present why risk assessment is considered to be the most difficult and most overlooked one amongst the 14 elements of a safety management system required to be established under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Management) Regulation using some practical examples.
