Ms Winsome Lee

Ms. Winsome Lee is a distinguished forensic anthropologist specializing in the analysis of human skeletal remains. With a Master of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and ongoing Ph.D. studies, she combines expertise in bioarchaeology and physical anthropology. Since 2014, Winsome has worked extensively in humanitarian and forensic contexts, including exhumations and identifications in war zones and disaster sites across the globe such as East Timor, Cyprus, Poland, and Somaliland. She is currently the only forensic anthropologist practicing in Hong Kong, frequently collaborating with law enforcement and medical examiners to solve complex cases. Winsome is also a passionate science communicator, authoring bestselling books and hosting radio programs to raise public awareness about forensic science and death education. Her work bridges science and humanity, emphasizing respect for the deceased and solace for the living. Known for her compassionate approach and rigorous professionalism, she has contributed significantly to forensic anthropology’s development in Hong Kong and beyond.
