Welcome to Register for the Preparatory Workshop for OLQE 2025(Head III - Commercial and Company Law)

 

This workshop provides participants with a wide coverage of Hong Kong’s commercial and company law and practice, focusing on both fundamental principles and practical applications. Through structured modules, attendees will explore key topics such as corporate governance, share transfers, acquisition of business, wind-up procedure, compliance frameworks for listed companies, and regulatory responses to market misconduct. The program emphasizes skill development, equipping participants to review and analyze essential legal documents — including corporate resolutions, articles of associations, transactional agreements — while mastering core tasks such as company incorporation, shelf company activation, and business restructuring under Hong Kong’s legal framework.

The workshop comprises a total of 27 instructional hours, delivered through nine sessions of three hours each. These sessions will be conducted on an intensive basis during August, October and November.

The first six sessions will be structured as knowledge seminars, focusing on key examinable topics in the Commercial and Company Law Head of the OLQE—such as corporate governance, market misconduct, and listed company rules. The final three sessions will consist of mock examinations and detailed review sessions, designed to consolidate understanding and enhance exam readiness.
