The talk shares insights on pet behaviour, emphasising the importance of understanding both canine and feline instincts to foster a harmonious relationship between pets and their owners.
Key topics include social instincts, territorial behaviour, hunting instincts, and communication methods, highlighting their needs for interaction, structured routines, and mental stimulation. It explores cats’ sleeping habits, hunting behaviours, dietary preferences, and grooming practices, noting their independent nature and sensitivity to cleanliness.
Additionally, the talk covers specific dog breeds—such as Poodles, French Bulldogs, and Border Collies—detailing their unique traits and care requirements. The significance of socialisation during the critical early weeks of a pet's life is also highlighted, along with the importance of creating designated areas for sleeping, eating, and playing to reduce stress and anxiety.
At last, the speaker will discuss the techniques and principles of pet training using positive reinforcement and the vital role of both mental and physical enrichment in enhancing pets' overall well-being.
