Mr Wong Chai-lok

It is with great sadness that the School has learned of the passing of Mr Wong Chai-lok on 27 April 2022.

Mr Wong had been a part-time teacher with HKU SPACE since 1981. He was one of our longest serving teachers. A distinguished educator and calligrapher, he was renowned both for his unique style of Chinese calligraphy as well as his active promotion of the study of Chinese art. Over the past 40 years, he had been vigorously involved in the planning and delivery of  a great number of courses in primary school administration, moral education, and Chinese calligraphy. These courses spoke volumes to the very important contributions Mr Wong had made to professional education, especially Chinese art education at HKU SPACE. Mr Wong received the Outstanding Lecturer Award from HKU SPACE in 2001 and was conferred the title of Honorary Fellow in 2018.

We shall remember Mr Wong’s spirit and dedication to education with great fondness. We extend our deepest condolences to Mr Wong’s family.
