The Best Brand Idea Awards Presentation Ceremony cum Brand Seminar was held on November 16, 2017 at our Admiralty Learning Centre. It is an annual event to recognize the efforts of the outstanding students in the Executive Certificate in Branding programmes. This year, two groups of students received the Best Brand Idea Awards. Chairman of the Hong Kong Brand Development Council, Mr. Simon Wong, presented the prizes together with Ms. Flora Chan, Associate Head of College of Business and Finance in HKU SPACE.  

Besides prize presentation, the highlight of the event was the Brand Seminar that aimed to promote the importance of brand knowledge to the public. We had the honor of having Ms Peggy Jor, Vice President of Marketing of a leading cosmetics retailer in Hong Kong, SaSa International, to be our guest speaker of the night. Peggy delivered a talk on customer engagement and how it can be used to enhance branding efforts. With her diverse experiences in different industries, she shared various successful cases from her career and the key takeaways. In particular, she talked about some of the more prominent campaigns using the latest technology to interact with customers in the retail sector, and the ways they reinforced customer loyalty. From her sharing, we understood more about the linkage between customer engagement and the value it brings to brand building. The seminar was well-received by the audience. Some thought-provoking questions were also raised in the Q&A session.

The event ended with a brief introduction by the Programme Team of the revamped Executive Certificate in Branding programmes that will be launched in early 2018.
