The attendance reached 400 plus in the Life Sciences and Technology Open Day 2017 held last weekend on 11 November, 2017.  Twelve seminars on three main themes of Health, Lifestyle and Technology were featured.  Participation of the seminars ‘From your GENES to your DIET',  'Understanding Chiropractic Therapy’, ‘Sport Psychology’ and ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’ was remarkably well.  Two seminars were broadcasted LIVE via our School Webinar system.

Participants enjoyed inspiring and insightful presentations delivered by distinguished scholars and prominent speakers on various health science, sport and information technology topics. In the seminar ‘From Your Genes to Your Diet’, Professor Frederick Leung, an internationally renowned Molecular Biotechnologist shared with us how scientists apply the knowledge in DNA to transform our daily life in all fronts specifically the interaction of DNA and how one’s DNA may play a role in individual response to diet.  In the seminar ‘Understanding Chiropractic Therapy', Dr Stanley Chik, Chiropractic specialist,  talked about bone and joint pain, various relief alternatives and gave us tips on stretching exercises.  Other popular seminars, such as ‘Drone Safety and Commercial Operations’, ‘Development and Future of Chinese Medicine’, and ‘From living with statistics to working with statistics’ were also well received.
