To recognise the loyalty and dedication of staff members, the School hosted its annual Long Service Awards Ceremony on 11 June 2026 at the Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College (HPSHCC). Following HKU SPACE’s expanded role in the management of HPSHCC, the two institutions joined forces once again to host this memorable event, paying tributes to veteran staff and celebrating the team’s strong cohesion.

The ceremony commenced with opening addresses by Professor Ian Holliday, Chairman of the Board of Directors of HKU SPACE, and Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, followed by the presentation of Long Service Awards to recipients from both institutions. The event concluded on a warm note with award representatives from both sides sharing heartfelt anecdotes of their journeys alongside the School and the College over the years. This year, a total of 56 colleagues with 10, 15, 20, or 25 years of service received this honour. Notably, this milestone also marks Professor Lee’s tenth year of service to the School; his personal participation as an award recipient added a further layer of significance to the ceremony.

The School established the Long Service Awards Scheme in April 2012 to express gratitude to staff for their long-term dedication and to foster a deeper sense of belonging. Every award recipient represents the School’s most valuable asset and serves as the cornerstone of its ongoing success. The School once again extends its deepest gratitude to all the award recipients.
