MOU signing ceremony with Hong Kong International Aviation Academy

HKU SPACE and The Hong Kong International Aviation Academy (HKIAA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 28 August 2017 to strengthen the educational cooperation between the two institutions to nurture the next-generation of global aviation specialists.

With the supports from HKIAA, HKU SPACE offered a new aviation programme namely Certificate in Airport Services and Operations which is characterized by its extensive airport field visits and the internship opportunities for graduates.  Different modes of activities are employed to provide students with a systematic understanding about the aviation industry service and operations, and eye-opening opportunities to experience the complexity of the workplace environment.  Upon programme completion, HKIAA would coordinate with different local airlines and aviation organizations to offer 12-month internship opportunities to the graduates such that they could kick start their aviation career journey immediately. 

The MOU is the first step in a long-term cooperation between HKU SPACE and HKIAA. It is believed that more and more students will be benefited by participating in the professional aviation training programmes jointly offered by two institutions.
