A unique programme that aims to provide students with a coherent, relevant and practical programme of knowledge in bank and insurance compliance and prepares them for a career in these and related sectors.   Real-life cases  and exampleswill be discussed, drawing reference from standards and rules highlighting the non-compliance issues involved and grey areas.   

RELEVANT & PRACTICAL PROGRAMME IN SFC AND LISTING COMPLIANCE!!   This is a unique programme that focuses on practical applications and all-round training in corporate compliance; it is positioned to be the pioneer in the market.   Contemporary cases will be discussed; drawing reference from standards and rules highlighting the issues and grey areas. Real-life examples and updated cases will be discussed during the class.

The programme aims to provide students with professional and broad-based knowledge of enterprise risk management techniques and put forward solutions to real life business issues, making high-level executive decisions and strategic planning in the workplace.

The target student groups for this programme are financial services practitioners who need to understand treasury from the customer’s perspective and would like to pursue in-depth knowledge of banking and corporate treasury function in global financial markets. Practitioners such as front office dealers, specialists in treasury banking operations, corporate treasury specialists, treasury risk analysts, treasury management product analysts, treasury and pension officers, corporate treasury back office specialists, internal auditors in treasury operations, or consultants are suitable to attend the programme.

TMA will offer the TMA Level 2 (Full Member) membership to graduates who have successfully completed this programme.


 

Scholarship Initiative for Top Performers

To recognize academic excellence of students, a new scholarship initiative was offered by TMA.  Students who complete the full program, comprising all three modules, and achieve a distinction (cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above) will be awarded a TMA Scholarship of HK$2,000 for their outstanding performance.

The programme aims to provide students with the key concepts of big data and related operational and ethical issues. It will discuss big data opportunities and challenges, fraud detection, data protection, ethical and compliance issues from managerial perspectives globally. Besides, best practices for data security and compliance, regulatory requirements will be covered in the programme.

The programme aims to provide students with essential knowledge to perform business analytics by processing, analysing, interpreting and visualizing business data. It discusses data wrangling and web scraping methods such as extraction of data from webpages and analysis of collected data to enhance business decision making. Besides, practical business applications of web scraping from managerial perspectives will be covered.

Fintech and Insurtech are new and hot technology in bank and insurance sectors.  Programme Team proposes to introduce a Certificate for module ‘Compliance for Fintech and Insurtech’ which is an evolving area with market demand and is also a unique and pioneering course introduced by HKU SPACE.

The programme aims to provide students with essential knowledge of robotic process automation (RPA) in streamlining workflow and improving business operations. It covers the design, development and implementation of RPA with illustrations using computational tools. Practical applications and cases of RPA for business and finance will be discussed.
