Wine, Sake and Coffee Series
The School offers a wide range of wine, spirits, sake and coffee programmes to suit students with different interests, and these programs are suitable to those who would like to widen their interests, deepen their knowledge for both social and work purposes. Through some of these quality programmes, students may be conferred both HKU SPACE award and professional body award from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), Sake Service Institute (SSI), and Specialty Coffee Association (SCA). These recognized academic and professional qualifications are recognised worldwide and they aim to equip students with in-depth product knowledge required to underpin job skills and competencies in positions such as sales and marketing executive, sommelier, journalist, consultant, buyer, trader, educator etc. Students can reimburse CEF upon successful completion of those CEF reimbursable programmes. Upon graduation of wine programmes, students will be eligible to be members of the HKU SPACE Wine Alumni Association (WAA) for free. Becoming an alumni member, you will gain the opportunities to attend the future events, such as: wine tastings, dinners, master classes, wine seminars, idea sharing programmes which will be exclusive to members, and sometimes with their guests.
