To meet the growing need for a part-time training programme in landscape design, HKU SPACE is offering a one-year Certificate Course in Landscape Design. This programme is intended to provide comprehensive coverage of different aspects of landscape design through lectures, site visits, computer workshops and case studies.

*The co-payment ratios by learners (i.e. the percentage of fees to be borne by learners) for the first HK$10,000 subsidy is 20% of the course fee and that for the remaining HK$15,000 subsidy is 40% of the course fee.
 

Programme Aims

The programme aims to equip students with essential knowledge of Global Taxation, which includes International Tax, US and Canadian Taxes; UK and Australian Taxes, China and Hong Kong Taxes. Students will learn how taxation systems in these countries affect the global asset allocations in Family Offices, inbound and outbound investment and tax considerations on Ultimate Beneficial Owners.  Double Tax Agreements are discussed to minimise the risks of paying excessive taxes across the borders.  Practical cases are presented with real life examples. 

The programme aims to provide healthcare professionals with a foundation of conceptual, theoretical, and practical knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and effectively utilise artificial intelligence technologies in healthcare settings. Students will gain a foundation of AI concepts, applications, and ethical considerations specific to the healthcare sector.
 

This programme aims to equip digital marketing and advertising practitioners with the skills to utilise Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to measure online traffic across various platforms and apps engagement. The programme also focuses on collecting event-based data and providing insights and solutions to optimise digital campaigns, website traffic, and sales conversion for e-commerce.  

 

Programme Objectives

This programme aims to introduce students to the various aesthetic philosophies of Japan, namely the "Miyabi" of the Heian period, the "Wabi and Sabi" of the tea ceremony, the "lki" of the Edo period, the "Wokashi" of the Makura no soushi, or "Mono no Aware" in the Tale of Genji, and "Mujyokan" representatively expressed in the Tale of the Heike and the Ten Foot Square Hut.

In addition to "aesthetics" as a literary philosophy, students will also learn to appreciate ancient clay figurines and earthware, Buddhist statues, ink and wash paintings, sliding door paintings, furnishings, gardens and architecture, flower arrangement, tea ceremony and other intangible heritage that have been preserved for more than 1,000 years up to this day.
 

The programme aims to provide the latest knowledge in some major disciplines related to regulatory systems of pharmaceutical products and medical devices in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) such as product registration, legislation, contract manufacturing and testing, preclinical and clinical studies, regulatory affairs etc. It is designed for students who are interested in the regulatory systems under the jurisdictions of (1) the National Medical Product Administration (NMPA) in the Mainland (2) the Department of Health (DH) in Hong Kong SAR and (3) the Serviços de Saúde de Macau (SSM) in Macau SAR.

This programme is designed to provide a sound introduction to beer. Students will be introduced to the main ingredients and beer production processes, which influence the styles and quality of beer. They will also learn how to select and serve beer appropriately, learn the principles of successful beer and food pairing as well as storage of beer.

The programme equips students with knowledge of rules and regulations related to ESG and the Internal Control Framework for Sustainability Reporting and ESG management.  An effective Internal Control will reduce risk and be able to enhance ESG performance. Students will also be able to report activities using Environmental and Social key performance indicators; and learn to identify, measure and manage climate-related risks.

The programme aims to equip students, who possess a commercial pilot license, with professional knowledge and skills to obtain the Airbus 320 aircraft type rating qualification.  Through supervised simulation practice, computer-based training as well as lecture training, students would learn to master the technical and theoretical aspects of the A320 aircraft including the operation of different aircraft systems, and the appropriate aircraft control procedures under normal, abnormal and emergencies situations.  The programme curriculum is designed with reference to the aviation industry practice and aircraft manufacturer defined standard.
