為何新冠病毒檢測如此重要?

The COVID-19 is declared by the WHO as a pandemic on 11 March 2020. More than 1,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been reported in HK by mid-May. Quick and reliable test results are critical for the disease screening, diagnosis, and disease control. As molecular tests are increasingly applied in detection of virus, the "high-tech" terms including PCR, IgM and IgG antibodies, are commonly heard from the media. This talk highlights the importance of COVID-19 testing, and explains to the public how molecular tests help medical profession to curb the spread of COVID-19 infection.
