Mr Alex Tang
Alex is a recognised Sport Psychologist from the UK being studied and practised in the UK with local teams and professional footballers. Alex also has been working from junior players, Premier League’s team to Asian game representatives. He is trying to bring the benefits of mental strength and cognitive enhancement to various athletes. The session will be covering the importance and relationship between exercise and mental health especially in the current situation of Hong Kong. Participants will also have the chance of exploring the ‘dosage’ of exercise activities regarding different mental health issues.
By the end of the session, student should be able to:
- Distinguish the difference between exercise and sport psychology
- Understand the needs and role of exercise psychology
- Critique the role of exercise as a mediator in mental health
- Evaluate the need for evidence based practice and how to be acquired
