Ir Dr. Tung Yip Wai
Dr. Tung is a system engineer with over thirty years of experience in the railway industry; working from railway operations engineering, maintenance, and technical training to major railway design and construction projects in Hong Kong, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Macau. His technical skills include the management of the whole project lifecycle for mainline and mass transit railway systems. Dr. Tung is also familiar with railway operations and maintenance and related auditing of asset maintenance.

The seminar will give the participant a basic understanding of the railway system in Hong Kong. Participants will gain the knowledge on the different technologies, the complexity of the system, the safety and reliability concerns to ensure that the railway system can support passengers’ day-to-day life. The speaker will also discuss the future prospect of the railway system and give hints on how to be part of this industry.
