- Mr.Ken Liu (Part-Time Lecturer)
Mr.Ken Liu
Mr. Liu, co-founder and CTO of Datatact Ltd, a startup focus on AI, Machine Learning and Big Data analytics. He is a hands on expert in his specialized area for over 10 years. Prior to Datatact, Ken worked at Citi, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse as Algo-Trading developer. Mr. Liu earned a Master in Computer Science from USC and a Bachelor in Computer Science from University of Warwick.

Thanks to continuous development in FinTech, the usage of computerized algorithms and big data add value to financial practices and investment analysis. AI and machine learning are widely using in algorithmic trading systems, which are less likely affected by human biases and facilitate better decision making. By leveraging on the contemporary technologies in processing sea volume of big data and financial innovations, players in financial services sector can offer new products and customized services to clients for investment. Based on the historical data, the speaker would like to illustrate a Machine Learning technique (Decision Tree) to predict the short-term stock price movement.
