For more than 140 years, electricity is an integral part of people’s daily lives. It powers our homes, fuels industries, drives transportation, and connects us globally. It is the force behind advancements in renewable energy, smart grids, and sustainable technologies, all supported by countless professionals who tirelessly contribute to the field of electrical engineering.

As we find ourselves nearly a quarter into the 21st century, it is fascinating to reflect on the advancements and trends that have shaped the world around us, such as various digital transformations and the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence and machine learning, energy transition, electrification, energy storage, power electronics, and energy efficiency. The key question is: how can electrical engineers better position themselves amidst of the trends and continue to electrify the world? This talk will shed light on the opportunities available to the electrical engineers and provide insights to those aspired to join our workforce.
