Mr Kevin Shen
Mr Shen holds a master degree in Japanese Studies from The University of Hong Kong, complemented by a minor in French. After dedicating two years to teaching Japanese at his alma mater, he pursued further studies in Korean at the Korean Institute of Yonsei University. Following his graduation, Mr. Shen has held teaching positions at various universities, where he has imparted knowledge in both Japanese and Korean. He is currently mainly teaching these two languages at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

As a lecturer of both Japanese and Korean at the same university, Mr Kevin Shen will share his extensive language learning journey, encompassing Japanese, Korean, and additional languages. This seminar will explore the origins, distinctive features, and grammatical differences of these languages, highlighting how prior linguistic knowledge can enhance the learning process. Participants will discover the advantages that Cantonese speakers have in acquiring Japanese and Korean, and will engage in interactive discussions designed to inspire a passion for multilingualism. Join us in celebrating the joy of language learning and opening doors to a multitude of cultural experiences!
