Mr Maxwell CHIU Ying-cheung is a Registered Professional Surveyor (Chartered Building Surveyor) and an Authorized Person (A.P.). With over 30 years of experience in property development, project management, property services, and maintenance management, Mr CHIU brings a wealth of knowledge acquired from his work in the UK, Hong Kong, and Australia. His expertise spans both the government and private sectors, offering a unique perspective that is invaluable to industry professionals. As an Adjunct Lecturer at HKU SPACE, Mr CHIU is passionate about sharing his insights through professional training programmes in property & maintenance management, which he has taught for over 20 years. His teaching has received high praise for its informative, engaging, and comprehensive style, as well as for its inspiring content.

How property management professions assists in handling buildings' water seepage issues and disputes?

Water seepage in buildings often arises from structural or equipment failures or from inadequate maintenance. Property owners are responsible for properly upkeeping and repairing their properties, including resolving any issues related to water leakage. At the same time, the support provided by property management professionals can effectively reduce disputes among the neighbours.
