Highlights
The DELF A2 is a diploma granted by the French Ministry of National Education and certifies French skills at A2 level. The diploma is recognised all over the world and valid for life. From 2025 onwards, DELF is the stipulated official French examination for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE). HKDSE students who learn the French language as a Category C subject must take the DELF examination at level A2 or above within the two years preceding the HKDSE they sit.
This course includes all-round practices emphasising the 4 skills evaluated in the official exam:
- Oral comprehension (Compréhension de l'oral)
- Written comprehension (Compréhension des écrits)
- Written production (Production écrite)
- Oral production (Production orale)

Programme Details
IMPORTANT Notes to Applicants:
- Applications are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.
- Applicants are normally required to provide information from their HKID card (for local applicants) or passport (for non-local applicants) for admission assessment and student records purposes. Applicants to award-bearing programmes will also be asked to present their HKID/passport for verification if applying in person at enrolment counters or to attach a copy of their HKID or passport if applying by post.
- To study in Hong Kong, all non-local applicants are required to obtain a student visa issued by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR Government, except for those admitted to Hong Kong as dependants and non-local applicants issued with a valid employment visa. - Online enrolment is preferred. The online application is completed when you see the payment confirmation, which will be sent to your email address by the system. If you need the official receipt, please obtain it at one of our enrolment centres with the payment confirmation.
- Please check if you have enrolled in the right course by comparing the application code with the information on our website.
- Should you enroll online within one week before the course starts, please contact the Programme Team as soon as possible. Students should attend the first session of the class at the specified time and place unless any change is made to the advertised details.
- Approximately one week before the course, students will receive an email with a course schedule and other details. All the course materials will be given in the first lesson.
- The course will be confirmed only upon sufficient enrolment.
- No refunds or transfers to a different class/ course will be approved.
- No make-up classes will be offered for students’ absence.

Applicants should be aged 15 or above
- No specific entry requirement for this course. However, applicants should intend to take the DELF A2 exam.
- Applicants should also be competent in English.

a) complete the enrolment form and enroll in the course(s)
(i) at the Enrolment Centres of HKU SPACE (please refer to the ‘Learning / Enrolment Centres’ section) by cash, EPS, cheque/bank draft or credit cards (VISA / MasterCard);
OR
(ii) by mail with cheque/bank draft to ‘HKU SPACE Summer School Office, 11/F, 250 King’s Road, Hong Kong'.
Cheque/Bank draft should be made payable to ‘HKU SPACE’ with applicant’s name and course(s) applied written on the back. A photo of the applicant (in plain colour background, 45mm(W) x 55mm(H)) is also required.
b) apply through the School’s online enrolment system and pay by credit card or PPS.
- All applicants who are below age 18 on 10 July 2024 MUST complete and submit the ‘Parent/Guardian Consent Form’ together with the Enrolment Form.
- If you are applying for more than one course, please check to ensure that there is no clash of class schedules before submitting your application.
Notes
- Fees and places on courses cannot be transferred from one applicant to another. Once accepted to a course, the student may not change to another course without approval from HKU SPACE. A processing fee of HK$120 will be levied on approved transfers.
- Receipts will be issued for fees paid but HKU SPACE will not be responsible for any loss of receipt sent by mail.
- Receipts will only be issued once. For additional copies of proof of payments, please send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with a completed form and a crossed cheque for HK$30 per copy made payable to ‘HKU SPACE’. Such copies will only normally be issued at the end of a course.
