Snakes & Ladders: the pros and cons of using AI in learning English

Chat GPT has become all the rage but is it really a useful tool for learning English? What other AI tools exist that might also have benefits for students of English? Can AI be utilized to maximize learning? What are their weaknesses of AI apps and in which areas do they shine? In this workshop we will cover the main applications of AI in learning English.  By looking at real world examples, attendees will gain more insight into the many benefits as well as the practical limitations of AI technology when it is applied to language acquisition.
