Swedish
Top 5 Reasons to learn Swedish
1) Key to Scandinavian Languages
Learning Swedish allows you to open the door to the other Scandinavian languages and the cultural exploration of Northern Europe. There is a high level of mutual intelligibility between Swedish, Danish and Norwegian, so speakers of one can understand speakers of the others without too much difficulty.
2) Exploration of Swedish Happiness
Sweden has been one of the top 10 happiest countries along with some other Northern European countries for decades. Learning the language may give you some insights into the secret behind their happiness.
3) Mecca for Art and Museum Lovers
Incorporating nature gives Swedish design a strong sense of welcoming and inclusivity, where minimalism and functionality are advocated. Inclusivity is also reflected by the free admission of some art, history and architecture museums in Stockholm.
4) Vibrant Culinary Culture
You can't resist Swedish delicacies such as semlor, janssons frestelse and Västerbottensostpaj, where you are often surprised by the encounter of traditional ingredients and new, creative additions.
5) Strong Prominence in Various Fields
There are different famous brands from Sweden such as H&M, Ikea, Skanska, Volvo, etc., with prominence in various fields including apparel, furniture, construction and manufacturing respectively.
