In Hong Kong’s fast-paced society, communication is part of our everyday life — at work, at home, and in every interaction. Yet many of us often find ourselves “talking without truly connecting”: words are spoken but not understood, intentions expressed but easily lost.
In this seminar, senior guidance counsellor Ms. Jennifer Shum will share her personal journey into the counselling profession and illustrate how counselling techniques can enhance everyday communication. Through real-life case sharing and interactive exercises, participants will uncover common causes of communication breakdowns and learn practical strategies such as active listening, overcoming deadlocks, and building empathy — to make every conversation more meaningful.
Whether you aim to improve workplace interactions or strengthen relationships at home, this seminar offers practical tools and fresh insights to help you foster genuine, trusting, and connected communication in your personal and professional life in Hong Kong.
