The programme aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding of the key principles and legal frameworks governing family and succession matters in Hong Kong. The course aims to familiarize students with the basic concepts and terminology related to marriage, divorce, child custody, inheritance, and estate planning in Hong Kong. It seeks to provide an overview of the legal rights, obligations, and procedures involved in these areas, catering to individuals who have a general interest or minimal prior knowledge in family and succession law.

The programme takes an integrated approach to financial law and ethics in business and finance. It considers how legal principles and ethical considerations are applied in the context of real case studies. The programme offers an overview of financial law and ethics in financial market transactions in capital markets and asset management. It also analyses the efficacy of the organizational requirements which companies are obliged to have in place to prevent unethical conduct from happening.
 

This part-time LLM is ideal for those with busy work schedules. Offered by Manchester Metropolitan University and jointly run with HKU SPACE, the LLM in Legal Practice is a cost-effective degree programme with CPD point recognition.

PRC Consular Law and Practice is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the legal framework and practical aspects governing consular affairs in the People's Republic of China (PRC). This program delves into the intricacies of consular law, exploring the rights, responsibilities, and procedures associated with consular services provided by the PRC government to its citizens abroad. Participants will study the key elements of the legal framework governing consular affairs in the PRC, including relevant international treaties, conventions, and domestic legislation.

Understanding PRC’s consular practices in Hong Kong SAR and abroad is particularly important for practitioners in law, business, journalism, policy research and consultation, and employees in international and non-government organisations. It is also valuable for government officials such as those work in the Department of Immigration or in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices.

 

香港大學專業進修學院是由倫敦大學認可、有資格為計畫參加倫敦大學法律學士考試的學生提供法律學士學位試課程培訓的教學中心。申請者順利完成課程後將會獲得 1) 由倫敦大學授予的法律學士學位（LL.B）以及 2)由香港大學專業進修學院頒發的課程出席證書。
 

HKU SPACE will offer the Revision Courses independently for candidates intending to sit the University of London LLB/Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law examinations in May/June or October 2024.  The emphasis of Revision is on examination technique, common examination topics, past examination questions, issues raised in chief examiners’ reports as well as recent legal developments.  Courses will be delivered in short, one-week blocks by experienced teachers of good academic standing from the United Kingdom.
