    Mr Milton Poon

    Mr Milton Poon has obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in French and European Studies at Hong Kong University. He has also attained the Diploma in French language studies (Diplôme d'université Français Langue Étrangère) at Stendhal University in France. Mr. Poon has been a French instructor at HKU SPACE since 2014. With his years of teaching experience and interactive lessons, Mr. Poon often receives positive feedback from his students.

    • Dr Carol Poon

    Dr Carol Poon

    Dr Carol Poon is Chairman of the Society of Transcultural Studies and Honorary Professor at Nagasaki Wesleyan University. She earned her PhD in International Cultural Studies from Tohoku University with a Japanese Government scholarship, following an MPhil in Japanese Studies at The University of Hong Kong, where she studied Japanese Popular Culture and Globalization. Poon has taught and conducted research at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Waseda University. After returning to Hong Kong, she joined The Open University of Hong Kong (now Hong Kong Metropolitan University), where she developed programs and established a Center for Japanese Language and Cultural Studies, focusing on interdisciplinary research in cultural studies, gender studies, and globalization theory.

Now a psychology lecturer at HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho Community College, she brings her expertise to developmental psychology and learning motivation. As an active member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association, she has developed specialized knowledge in play therapy and the Satir family therapy model. Her successful transition from administration to psychology serves as both inspiration and practical roadmap for others contemplating a career shift into the psychological sciences.
