Dr T M Kwong
Dr TM Kwong is the former College Head of College of Humanities and Law at HKU SPACE. Currently, he serves as a Senior Advisor and instructor for the Pu'er Tea course at HKU SPACE. Dr Kwong is interested in studying Chinese history and culture. During his time as College Head, he had supported the development of a number of programmes in Chinese and Hong Kong history and culture. In the past decades, he has been applying his expertise to study the history and development of Pu’er, especially on the role of Hong Kong in its historical process. In this lecture, Dr Kwong will share with you the Pu’er history and stories in Hong Kong.

In the past ten years, Pu'er tea has been very popular, and the auction price of Pu'er tea has been unheard of, ranging from hundreds of thousands to 20,000 to 30,000 yuan per cake. What is the difference between these Pu'er teas and the ones we used to have in the teahouse in the early days?
Using a wide variety of angles, the guest spekaer will explore the history of Pu'er tea, and briefly explaing it's blening and planting methods for you to learn the specific value of Pu'er tea in drinking culture.
