Recognition of Prior Learning - Information & Communications Technology Industry Proof of Qualifications

Proof of Qualifications

Years of working experience and relevant experience (experience correlates with the cluster of units of competency for which recognition is sought) form the basic requirements for recognition of qualifications under the RPL mechanism. The requirements on the years of working experience and relevant experience for every cluster are formulated by the respective ITAC. Applicants should provide proof of qualifications regarding their years of service in the industry and relevant working experience as required.

Years of working experience and relevant experience are defined as the cumulative number of years engaged in the relevant job and duties. Consecutive years of experience are not required.

The certification of years of service must be issued by the employer or an authorised person (such as department heads or supervisors). If certification by the employer is not available, other supplementary evidences such as attestation of jobs issued by registered trade associations or labour unions, tax demand notes, payroll slips, certificates of provident fund or business registration certificates of the self-employed, can be submitted for the Assessment Office's consideration.

Requirements of years of working experience and relevant experience for every cluster are detailed in the relevant Clusters of Units of Competency.
